Pune | Image Resource : indianexpress.com As a part of my work, I have to travel within the country many times either to meet new clients or to make the new ones. This time, I was working on a business project which demanded a business tour to Pune. As I am used to traveling, it is now fun to bag-pack and explore the new city as well as to meet new people. I had always dreamt of exploring Pune city, but never actually got a chance due to extreme workload. Pune is the ‘Cultural capital’ city of Maharashtra state. It is known for its scenic beauty, majestic forts, and historic sites. Also, Pune city is renowned for its extremely delicious food. To satiate a foodie like me, Pune is one of the best cities in India. Foodie’s Delight-Pune City: I had heard many delicious stories of various delicacies of Pune city from many of my friends. Hence, after getting confirmation about the meetings and timing with the local project heads as well as clients, I checked some of the best restaurants in Pune with the help of online services. I found some of the best options: The Turque and Cravings. I have to dig in delicious food when in Pune. These restaurants offer great ambiance and various popular dishes. Turque is an open air restaurant and has laid back atmosphere. It is established around the pool in the Sayaji hotel. This restaurant serves an extensive yet impressive menu which includes continental, Indian, Asia and Italian cuisines. Also, a client had fixed our meeting in Carvings when he came to know that I am a huge foodie. My Travel To Pune: I had booked my tickets from Gwalior to Pune immediately after having confirmation about the meeting dates. I checked Goa express schedule and it suited my travel plan. As per my ticket, I boarded AC-3 Tier compartment of the express train. The train arrived at Gwalior station at around 7: 40 pm. I had my dinner on the wheels and slept. The train reached next day at around 4:20 pm and I got down at Pune Junction. Goa Express Schedule | Image Resource : kxcdn.com A Lavish Stay In Pune:
I hired a cab from Pune Junction and reached my pre-booked hotel. I always choose to stay in 5 Star hotels as they offer great business services. This time I had selected the Sayaji hotel, Pune for a comfortable and lavish stay. Also, Turque restaurant is a part of this hotel which where I wanted to slurp delicious dishes. This hotel offered great services and my room was spacious. All the modern amenities were available in the room. I had scheduled one of my meetings in the Turque restaurant where I and my clients enjoyed sumptuous food over business discussions. Next day, after little sightseeing related to our project my client took me to the Carvings. We enjoyed snacks in this restaurant and believe me, they were really tasty and stomach filling. Pune city delighted me in terms of food as well as in work. I had successful meetings with the clients. I loved the serenity of this city and enjoyed piping hot and delicious food here. |
